Shane made his first film at age 12. It starred Star Wars action figures and monsters made of playdough. Taking a few short breaks to get a biology degree, travel through Southeast Asia for a year and work 5 seasons as a deckhand on Alaskan fishing boats, Shane has always found his way back to his passion: filmmaking. Today Shane splits his time between his production company, Keela Films, working on his own projects (indie documentary Girls Rock, set for theatrical release in Spring 2008), and teaching. Shane is an Apple certified Final Cut Pro instructor, and teaches Documentary Production at the Film Arts Foundation.
